This playset bothers me. Why do I feel like someone’s in denial about the color and length of Rapunzel’s hair? Rapunzel with short, brown hair is free, Princess Rapunzel. Rapunzel with long, magical hair is kidnapped, downtrodden Rapunzel. Her hair was cut, and this was a good thing, yes? Yes. Yes, it’s just a toy set. But it’s one I’d be more inclined to persuade myself that I need if it weren’t so contradictory. I mean, look at Pascal, that handsome little mister in bow tie. (Want.) Then there’s Maximus, looking pretty bad ass, if a little stiff and plastic-y. (Want.) And wedding cake on a table? (Okay…) And look at Eugene, rocking a white doublet for his wedding. With a freakish-looking hip joint. Whatever. (Want.) But— Rapunzel, why? I do not want your magical golden hair.

disneytangledconfessions: “I love watching Tangled because unlike most if not all Disney movies Flynn and Rapunzel fall in love with each other slowly and how throughout the movie you see that on their faces especially in the lantern scene.” Slowly over the course of about two days. Just kidding, though— I like that they don’t get off on the right foot.
